Can anybody identify this wire harness's purpose? I was wiring a multi part project (door handle puddle lights, door pocket lights and the folding mirrors) I know.. I know it's alot at once, my wife already thinks I'm nuts . I figure why not consolidate while the door is off...

I took the door panel off and saw this factory taped down 4 wire harness that I can't find on realoem or any other search so far. Any ideas what that might be?

 

Interesting cable. Give us some info on your ride. What build mo/yr and what model is it?

 

Not a guru but here goes a shot in the dark, oem alarm pre-wire, maybe

 

About the car, it's a 2006 MCS JCW build date of 9/2006 that has nav, front and rear fogs and the H/K system installed. Both doors are wired that way and I checked the OEM alarm install pdf, but there was nothing in there for the door panels, but the car is pre wired for that.
