MINI Driving Lights

Hello All,

So I go to get my car inspected, get "rejected" because I have driving lights. Apparently in Virginia, you cannot have more than 4 lights on at the same time...So I ask the inspector fella... "I 've had this car for 4 years, how come I've passed all of the inspections since then?" He says; "oh that law was passed last year". If this is the case, then will all Minis with driving lights that "live" in VA have to take them off? Wanted to know if anyone else has had this problem.

Thanks!

I'm confused. Do you have the stock driving lights or a rack of 4? Stock lights only go on with high beams(as is the case with MOST aftermarket). Fog lights always turn off with high beams. Still not more than 4 lights on at a time...

Yet another reason to hate VA and thier draconian driving laws.

Take it somewhere else to get it re-inspected. My MINI passed inspection in March (also in VA) with the driving lights on it.
