Over the weekend, I replaced my cloth seats with stock leather seats. I figured it would be a good time to pull all the trim and carpet and install sound deadening material. I pulled off the panels from both doors and the hatch. Now the hatch light is flashing and beeping everytime I come to a complete stop (something it never did before when it WAS open.) The hatch is closing, locking, latching perfectly. I did not disconnect any wires when I removed the panel. Does anyone know where the hatch sensor is located? I really need to turn that light off before my sanity is adversely affected.

My airbag light also came on (much more reasonable, as I did remove the front seats.) Is there an easy method to reset the airbags?

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated! And hopefully, I'll be able to show you guys the sound deadening weekend pictures soon.

 

Resetting the airbag light has to be done at the dealer, or by someone with the expensive BMW diagnostic computer terminal.
