R50/53 Are Mini's Considered Chicks Rides?
>>CooperBeagle's got it right. What a stupid debate; I really wish it would stop coming up. If you even have to ask this ridiculous question, then don't buy the MINI. Buy a freaking Bronco if you're so concerned about what the other
meatheads think.
On the one hand, I can see why this thread comes up again every few months. There's a lot of anxiety out there about gender/sexuality perception, and one's car is a very visible exression of one's self. Even the most forward thinking people have some kind of BS they've picked up somewhere along the line about "how to act like a man" or whatever. You just can't live in this world and avoid it.
On the other hand, I agree that this topic is pretty ridiculous. Who really cares? You can either succumb to your anxiety and buy a Hummer, or some other big-*** truck that you think will reflect your inherent masculinity, or you can choose to ignore the chick-car anxiety in the back of your mind and anyone else's anxiety-based opinions and do what you really want to do, i.e. drive a Mini.
Remember, your car is not your genitals.

Forget shaving. I hereby call for mandatory full body waxing for all male Mini drivers.
Should this thread move to Detailing 101 now?
>>The MINI is a "chick" car??? mmm.... then I must be the hairiest chick in town!! I wonder if I have to hsave my legs to drive my car??

I'm asked this all the time.
My friends wonder about it too. Especially since they know what I used to do before going corporate.
I used to shoot people for a living. LOL. Not for fun, but because my government asked me to.
I couldn't give a rat's *** what people think about the car to tell you the truth. Take them for a ride - toss them around until they puke. They'll understand then.
hooyah class 195!
