Yes, I'm a dred newbee. I tried the "search" function with no hits. I hope to find out the issue with front plate mounting. I've seen tips (on other sites) to instruct the dealer to not drill the bumper out for U.S. plates. Uh, so what are the alternatives for mounting?

I read about someone buying a Honda stand-off plate bracket and mounting it. I've checked out many front car pics and don't quite understand the concern. Oh, and my state requires a blinkin' front plate.

Welcome knuckles! My dealer drilled my front mounting plate, but that didn't stop me from filling the holes with round plastic caps. I will put it back if need be but I really don't like the mount either. If I hear of any better mounts I will post, but I doubt it, something will need to be drilled (just get them straight and level). You can always plug them off with black plastic caps of some sort, then re-install if need be later..

My dealer drilled holes since front plates are required in TX, but I've decided to be a rebel and do without...

I ordered a set of plugs from Bumper Plugs and I love 'em They have several MINI colors and added Chili Red at my request.

Here's the look--

Good luck finding a suitable mount, if you can find it anywhere you can find it on MCO!

Do you have the S?

If not there is a part to put on to allow for the front US plate.

Not an S, your basic Cooper. It's on order Feb.- Mar. delivery so I'm researching all the tips and tricks to help with the blasted wait and tweak the build order.

That is a sweet chili and black S! WAAAA I want one now! :???:
