Ordered my Wife's '04 Cooper in Sept. With a 4-5 month wait we have plenty-O- time to make build order adjustments. Before I call the dealer and tweak it, what is the current flavor shipping with?

Anyone receiving new Coopers please post the "stock" configuration for the factory wheel and antenna. Does it now ship with the three spoke chubby design? Also, what's the deal with the antenna, does the shark fin style come with the non-HK radio?

Lots of questions but this site is great! I was well prepared going into the dealer.

Welcome to MCO, not to be mean or anything, I just get tired of the same questions going around, right under the advertisment banner there is a search button. Seriously, Im not being mean, just trying to let you know, you get by though being a newbie.

Now, to answer your question.
The 04s dont get the shark fin antenna unless they have the sat nav option, and the new 3 spoke steering wheel will be an OPTION when december hits, right now you can only get the 2 spoke, but december will let you choose between the two (and both are MFSW).

Welcome, and dont let me scare you off, this is a great site for info and waiting it out.

The shark fin is the antenna for the navigational system( I believe it is the gps locator and or satellite antenna?), Also I am pretty sure the three-spoke wheel isgoing to be the standard in the '04 minis, though it might not go into effect until later on, like how the H/K system was only available for the december or later '03 builds.

Welcome to MCO by the way

the 3-spoke wheel does not start production until December 1st, so you can expect to see them in the states by New Years. It will be an option, as the 2-spoke will still be standard until further notice.

like Katie said, the shark fin is just for the NAV-equipped MINI's; non-NAV get the antenaa whip like usual.

Welcome to MCO, and like Bk_MCS said, please use the [search] function before posting a new thread

Cheers,
Ryan

Sorry, been monitoring MCO threads for sometime and never spotted this question posted. I hate being a redundant Lame-O.

Other sites like Bridger U.S. put up news articles stating the wheel and shark fin were shipping on all new builds. I wanted the original parts as you replied. I'll be sure to search first and post later kind folks.
