Help me price my 2004 MC!

After trolling around on this website for a while, I think I've decided that I want to "upgrade" my mini for somewhere around an 06 model with low miles. I could start modding my 04 with new tires/shocks/exhaust/air intake...etc, but since it has 51k on it and I drive it daily, it seems like it makes more sense to buy a newer one that will have more life on it and upgrade that one instead? Is my line of thinking correct on this? I don't have any reason to think my 04 MC won't hold up or be reliable, I just want to keep it and drive it for a while.

With that said, I'm trying to arrive at a price for my 04 MC that is fair and reasonable for both me and the perspective buyer. I thought since you guys were the experts, you may be able to help me with that.

Here's a link to my for sale ad:

https://www.northamericanmotoring.co...ate/1220413131

What do you think? I'd be interested in two prices:

1 for market value
1 for quick sale

Thanks!

April

your price seems about right..
but from all i have been reading and comments i see on here..
you will probably see more like 11,5

sucks.
i have an 05 mc auto.
dealers just say .. 'try to sell it' cause they aren't putting money into it

all you need is ONE buyer.. try ebay

I hate to tell you this but it's a kind of high. I bought a 04 MCS with 50K miles in Nov. of 07 for that price...

don't hate to tell me... that's what I'm after. I've seen so many variations of price. I've looked on Autotrader for similiar vehicles, KBB, Edmunds, Napa...

so.... what would you price it for?

List it on eBay for whatever price you *want* with an option to make offer - these listings are FREE, unless the car actually sells. Exposure is great, and you pay $125 if the car sells, so it's a great option.

I list cars everywhere I can just to maximize the market and then update the price every 3-4 weeks if I don't get enough interest. Cars.com has free renewals and they show you number of search results that your car was part of and number of people that viewed your specific ad.

In any case selling the car private party will save you a ton of money vs. trade-in. Dealer offers are always ridiculous.

Thanks, great advice!! I appreciate the tips. I listed it on Autotrader yesterday. I'll do cars.com and ebay over the weekend.
