Should be getting my MC next month. Gonna take a trip to the Smokey mountains in February. Any suggestions of good roads while I'm there? I will be there for 3 or 4 days staying in a chalet up in the hills. Thanks for any input, Bill

Lots of fun roads in that area, Bill. The drive through the GSMNP is nice on its own, but you can also take Hwy 321 over to Townsend if you want a lot of curves. You're not all that far from the Tellico Plains area of TN and The Tail of the Dragon, the premiere twisty road in the Southeast. Search the web for Deals Gap, Tail of the Dragon, and Cherohala Skyway for more info.

Just be sure and check road conditions in February. Some roads may be closed.

See ya,
JS

UKNUT-- Took a trip to the Smokies with the Mini last spring: FANTASTIC!!! Just be sure that your passenger know what he/she is in for. Somehow hairpin turns at 50mph scares them more than you! (What did someone call the door grip bar? The Jesus handle?)

God speed.

Thanks Kids!! I am looking forward to the trip. Unfortunately February is the only time I can take a vacation. Do you know any other good roads in Southern Indiana?

I've heard that the difference between a beagle and a bassett is that a beagle will actually get up and yawn when the burgler breaks in, while the bassett stays reclined. I've not identified specific roads to tool around in the southern part of the state. But, following the river has to generate some nice drives. I like 41 as it twists around Turkey Run State Park, west of Indy. (Also a great park for hiking.)

God speed.
