Does the MCS have a variable redline depending on outside temperature,engine temperature etc.? Anyone?

No, the redline doesn't vary, although I'd think that you'd see a slightly higher boost pressure when running hard in cold dense air.

The reason I ask is, the Tach looks like it has the RED lights up into the 5000s. I also think that I drove one at the dealership that I saw the lights extinguish down to 6700 as I was driving. I don't know! No big deal,just curious.

The MINI does not have adaptive redline like BMW's //M cars; the red LED segments are fixed based on the Model you get; the One (in Europe) has a fixed 5500RPM redline (if I remember right), whereas the Cooper and Cooper S have a fixed 6950RPM redline.

no matter it has a redline like M or not. but the driving habbit and the merchanic methord is the same.

You still can not push to the limit until is well warmed up!

Where is redline does not really matter on this one!
