3rd Breaklight/New Taillight

Hey Guys! I had a little incident on my street recently where some kids went around and shot at cars with a pellet gun. And unfortunately my poor MINI was hit! It was so annoying I just want to strangle these kids!

My driver side window was completely shattered and they hit my tail light (on the passenger's side)

So the tail light just has a small hole in the plastic cover, just where the pellet hit. But obviously i dont want moisture to ge in there so I need it replaced. Last time i got my mini in for maintenence they said to replace the 3rd breaklight because of moisture, so I figure I can get both done at once.

Do you suggest anywhere I can get these parts from? The dealer said they both go for $90 roughly. And I cant just get a tail light cover, i have to replace the whole taillight? But Im trying to avoid the dealer because of their high labor rates, is there a parts dealer you suggest? Thanks a bunch!

Nope...you need to replace the whole unit.

Someone else recently went thru this drill. Here's the related info:

It's an easy fix.

Check the prices for the parts at Classic Auto Campus (in the Vendor Directory) and ask for the NAM discount. They have very good prices. The swap out of the units is an easy DIY.

Perfect Ill check them out. I still got to bring my car in again for the window to get fixed (i got it repaired) but the window is hitting the lock when you roll the window up and its squeaking bad. I just wish it was fixed already!!
So I gotta bring it back to Binks in Stamford this week.
Unfortunatley I think they broke the door armrest because it keeps falling off. Is that a part I can get replaced??

I removed the light to install a 3d brakelight pulsar and highly recommend that one use a hair dryer to soften the seal before removing the light. Then I gently pryed the light moving around the edges.
