Seats up for me. I like to keep the cargo area enclosed/non-visible from the outside. And the road noise with the seats down tends to irk me after awhile.

Mostly up, but down when I am feeling like a race car driver and want to hear the header and catback do their thing. There is a significant sound level difference.

50-50 for me,
I like them up, a cleaner look but
when i practice in my band i need to fold them to fit equipment.
i talked to the wife about a rear seat delete and she said make your own,
cool.
the money i save from that endeavor will go into rims....
yea

Saw that episode; I still keep my seats up. Largely because I have a canvas bag-o-tools and an aluminum floor jack in the rear and don't want it to fly into the passenger area when I brake hard. If you're wondering why I have all that in the rear it's because I'm too lazy to take it out between events.

Mine were down so much I ended up removing them. Now that I have a 70lb weimaraner the seat backs are out but the cushion stayed. I'm in the process of building a RSD that stays flat all the way to the hatch. Who knows when that will get done, the dog takes up all of my time.

Almost always up, unless I'm hauling something around. It's my OCD tendencies - I can hide stuff I don't want seen back in the boot

I have the seats removed after a few years with them in place. Installed Recaro Sportster CS's that do recline but no memory feature. So any passengers would be PIA anyway.

Installed a seat eliminator (made custom) that holds a spare, fire extinguisher and a Cubby hider area where the jack is located.

Used Dynomat on the underside of the panel(s) so the noise from the exhaust is not too bad at all.

Mine are down, and I cut some old gently used gray floor carpeting to fit over the backs of the seats and trunk floor. There is also a motorcycle tire on the right seat back to hold various smaller objects that would otherwise slide around.

unbelievable that no one acknowledged this - I mean, I understand how important the initial question is especially if you're spending more time sitting in front of a computer writing such ridiculous questions than you are actually driving your mini with or without your back seats down - but to overlook some witty humor - i think you've been staring at your computer screen toooooooooooooooo long.

here's a better question - who drives with their left turn signal on all the time? that really makes for some exciting driving!!!!!!

thanks for the comedy BigOly

I keep mine up, I like to throw my purse or jacket back there and be able to reach it. Also since I got it recently I tend to drive when my friends and I go out.

I'm glad we have light heartened people like you with a sense of humor on this forum and thanks for acknowledging my post, I was in the typical female/male "who is more stubborn fight" with my wife the day I posted that joke. Apparently she won cause I put my tail between my legs and resorted back on NAM and had the opportunity to vent my frustration. Happy holidays
