Good luck with that..........

The 15% pulley will cause the SC to turn faster than stock, so yes it could affect the longevity of the SC. The dealership will have all of the cards on there side of the table if it ever gets that far.

If you had no belt on the SC, the engine would not run right and the water pump would stop working, so the chances of overheating the engine is possible.

All aftermarket parts have the potential to affect warranty claims on any car.

Hmm Two words come to mind - Law Suit. I even asked the tech when they installed the pulley if it would void the warranty and he said it wouldnt with a 15% pulley because it was roughly the same size as the JCW Pulley. I will win this, even if I have to fly all the way to England.
Good luck with this. All I can say is others have been trying for years and did not succeed.

I am also on the 'you play - you pay' side. If you were talking about an unrelated part I would be with you but changing the pulley MAY have impacted the supercharger. Either by operation (not likely but possible) or during the install.

I am sorry for your situation but think you are probably out of luck.

+1

If indeed the SC is shot, I hope it works out in your favor but I wouldn't be optimistic.

I've got to agree with some others here. Many of us have done the 15% pulley with no ill effects but that doesn't mean overdrive-related damage isn't possible or that the SC wasn't damaged during the installation. If this were an intake or exhaust, you'd have a case but to say the pulley (or install) was unrelated is going to be a tough sell.

I don't do mods that almost surely void the warranty (at least on expensive parts, like the engine) for this reason and, generally, I don't mod cars that aren't paid for...

It's the same policy for tracking my cars. It would be a sad day but each time I leave the false grid, I'm prepared to come back in on a flatbed. I can't imagine making payments on a car I just stuffed into the tires or blew up.

I hope it works out but, realistically, I'd be prepared for the worst.

I am sorry to hear about your problems with the car.

I would keep my acceptance level higher than my expectations in this situation.

So was it indeed the Supercharger that was bad? Glad to hear they took care of you!

It was the supercharger. The rod was able to move in and out of the supercharger.
