Here in Birmingham, AL. We don't have a dealer yet. errrr.
So I've been shoping the GA and TN areas. Which seem to be very good areas. No complaints.
Just wanted to point something out and see if others are seeing the same thing.
In the past month there have been a few sightings around B'ham and now all of the sudden, A Toyota dealer down the road has a new Cooper on the lot for sale. There are a total of three dealers that have atleast one on the lot. Of course all of them are charging upwards of 10K over sticker price!!!! Someone actually purchased one of these from a local lot. Black/White, only option was heated seats. Other than that it was stock. Price paid....... drum roll..... 26K!!!!

Anyway... just wanted to see if other areas were like this as well....

Motor On!!..... Mini Me!!

 

We had a local BMW dealer that wasn't an authorized Mini dealer have one on the lot. I called them up a few days after I saw it to see if I could test drive it and stuff. Turns out that it was a privatly owned one that the owner was selling and they asked the dealer if they could sell it on the lot Turns out they were selling it for about $3k over sticker, and it was used!!! Still wish I could have at least test driven it though

 

Performance BMW? Yellow/white Mini that the owner shows off in the lawn? I also saw the silver/black with a for sale sign on it. I think the actual dealers hate that their boss's car teases their business!

 

Yep, I think that was he one. That was justr plain a mean tease!
