R50/53 Help! I cannot sell my MINI!
I purchased a 2003 Cooper S never winter driven female owned with 40 500 Kilometers (25 300 miles), sport pack, no sunroof, black on white for $17 500 Canadian, and our prices for used cars are much higher than yours for the equivilant car.
Whenever I have sold a car or bike I would spend a full weekend detailing a vehicle.
And for sure, if the mats looked worn, into the trash they went. Nothing makes a car look nicer than new mats. Guess it's because the floorboard is a focal point when first opening the car door.
Definately a psychological thing. I notice a spec of whatever that appears on my beautiful MINI floormats. I am very quick to toss any debris that appears. I am not that bad though. The debris has to be larger than a gnat's *** for me to take action.
Just wanted to get some input! I have a stunningly clean/well-maintained 2003 MINI Cooper S (Dark Silver, White roof, S-lites, 20% tint) with only 41,000 miles on it.
I have had the car on ebay 4 times, with a reserve of $18,500.00 and starting at $15,000.00. I have the car listed on Craigslist 3 times (Craigslist Akron/Canton, Columbus and Columbus), Facebook, vwvortex.com and NAM.
I keep a For Sale sign in the car at all times and even had vinyl cut for the rear windows advertising the price and contact info.
I realize the market is tough right now, but I'm not even getting offers! I let those who show interest know that the price is negotiable, but no serious bites!
Does anyone have any advice for me? Have you done something in the past that worked especially well to sell a car?
Can you even imagine selling a V8 SUV right now?!
Thanks!

Post the MINI into autotrader.com or other site like that....And I would post it for sale with what ever MINI Cooper Club you may belong to.
Your reserve price is however reasonable.
Good Luck.
