Which brand and weight should I use in the tranny and diff?

What to you have?
It will vary between the 6 speed, CVT and manual with LSD.
If you have a MCS you can use Redline MTL. There are others you can use but it seems there is agreement MTL is fine for the MINI.

thank you, I have an 05 MCS 6 speed. I will go with MTL, I have a few bottles left over anyway.

I take it you have a limited slip. call redline. MTL might not be suitable. if you meant open diff, by all means, use MTL. I use it.
