trim ?

alright here it is fellas- I know some of yall have blacked out your headlights and got rid of the awful chrome grill and chrome trim around the doors and below windshield.........HOW do you get rid of the ugly chrome from around the doors and windshield. The grille is changed in mine-the headlights i can get off ebay. but i cant find or figure out the trim--- tell me the secret. on old school chevys the chrom was the lock bead on windshield gaskets-u could either get it chrome or black.....is this the same principle. is it a lock bead or just ugly decoration. any help would be appreciated--i have a 05 cooper s

buy some black vinyl tape..lots of vendors here sell em by the roll..maybe sometimes way more than enough..but i forgot the exact measurement to get but the vendors already got em ready for you..all you gotta do is buy..
and of course the 'do-it-yourself' part comes into play too..

and a quick note..you ARE talking about that chrome trim that goes all the way around the car right? im assuming so..

I think you are talking about the beltline chrome....

A lot of people just purchase a beltline blackout kit, and others use some form of 3M Black Tape...

outmotoring.com has a black out beltline kit that i used. pretty good just takes time.

thank you gokartride but i've actually been stripe-less for a while now..
going for the naked look..

but its honestly cheaper to buy the roll from somewhere by bulk? or yeah..
outmotoring does has em ready for you tho..so whichever you choose

yes sir i was talking about the beltline chrome. minjae- how did u go "naked" does the trim serve no purpose or can u rip the chrome off the rubber?

took the stripes off his car. lol
and if you try to rip the chrome off, it wont work. lol
if you put the tape over the chrome you can always take it off.

Best place is right here....

You can get ANY size and COLOR frm these guys......The chrome strip on the earlier MCS is thinner than later models.

They are very, reasonably priced as well. One roll they sell should do a few cars too. I have seen Belt line black out kits ranging from 15 to 38 dollars and there is only enough for one vehicle.

There is enough to do a few cars in the rolls they sell here.....
