After 5 long months of waiting I just got word that my Cooper should be arriving at the dealership today!
I was wondering how long I should give the dealer to prep the car etc. before I start badgering them?? As you can all imagine I'm beyond anxious. Thanks!

My dealer took about 4 or 5 hours to get the car ready. It will probably depend on how many cars they are working on but I did call my dealer to ask if the car had arrived and inquired when it would be ready.
I'd say go ahead and give them a call!
If they're true to the mini spirit...... I'm sure they'll understand your excitement!
And if they dont' understand...... screw em.... call anyway! ROFLMAO It's your baby! They said she'd be ready today...... so you have the right to find out when she'll be ready!!

Hahaa
Thanks guys. I took your advice and just called them up. It actually arrived yesterday afternoon! They're waiting on some certificate to arrive via mail I'll be able to pick her up Thursday or Friday.
Check this out. If I decide to lease they "require" 2,000 down in addition to the 1G deposit I made. Does this sound legit anyone? I should be able to put down whatever I want right?

Contact a credit union and check into thier leases. I leased through my credit union and put no money down! Always check other sources of financing before using the dealerships options. (I know, I worked for GMAC for several years, not very often will the dealers offers be better than outside financing.)
When you lease it should be a cash free exchange unless your just trying to work your payment way lower than normal. You should not pay a security deposit unless you have bad credit. Don't pay 'Cap Cost Reduction', this is just another term for down payment. At most, you should just have to pay your first payment.
Hope this helps, remember...the more information you have the better off you will be.
