Got a little mod project on the go. Need to remove what I call the 'Jesus' handles from Door panels. I have managed to get the door panel off, but the handle appears to be welded onto the panel. Any ideas???

 

I assume you're talking about the Y-bars inside the oval door "pocket" cutouts???

Sorry, I don't have any idea how to remove those...but I did find your project intriguing...

My wife (and several other passengers) have expressed their desire for the addition of more "Jesus handles", especially in the traditional overhead location...

There's been a couple threads where people have done this. I don't remember what was said, but I think plastic rivets are used to hold these in. You may want to check the DIY's. I know both times it was mentioned that I saw were in threads involving people painting these. Hope this helps you find the answer.

 

They're called "OS" handles.....That's short for "OH, ****" HANDLES.....
