xenon headlight pattern

I recently put +05 xenons on my 04 MCs. one light has a different cutoff than the other. The passenger has a very noticeable blue/purple seem, where as the driver side does not. Is the purple cutoff factory? I'm wondering which headlight is doing what its supposed to, and which one isn't. if anyone has pictures of 05-06 lights shining on a wall, thatd be very helpful. i'll try to get pictures of mine to better describe my situation.

could it be that the lights in each are a different age, hence one light is putting out a slightly different intensity of light compared to the other? I noticed a really nice blue/purple cutoff the last time that I drove an '05+ xenon equipped mini...

My `05 Xenons do not have any colored fringing. The pattern has the European bow-tie shape on a wall.

Any chance that you have a higher-color-temp aftermarket capsule in one of them? Some people seem to like purple lights, for reasons that escape me...

the color of the light is the same. so theyre the same temp. bulb., but it is possible that age could be factoring in. As i bought the lights separately. I'll try to replace the bulbs first. I like the purple cutoff, and I now you can color mod projectors to achieve this look. i just didnt know if they came that way or not. I'll get pics up this evening. I got some decent shots last night.

here are some pictures, you can see the right (passenger) light has the distinctive blue/purple cutoff, where as the driver side has nothing of the sort.

this is the driver side by itself...

and here is the passenger light only..

in my opinion, the driver's side light looks like it is less intense than the passenger side light. I think that you may just be dealing with a bulb that is older than the other. I definately see a difference between the two, other than the cutoff that is.

thanks for the info. i've just ordered new bulbs, if that doesnt change anything, i'll probably try to "color mod" the projector with a few washers.

okay, my bulbs came today, and i put them in. It helped add color but still, its no where near as big or vivid as the passenger. However, I did find this today in the area where I was working on the drivers headlight...im positive it came out of the headlight, anyone know what it is? I have a feeling this is the culprit.

any clues? my guess is it is some sort of space that distances the bowl and projector lens?
