The Price is Right game show had a MINI Cooper S as a prize [2008 model].

For those who don't know, the goal on the PIR is to guess the price of the prizes WITHOUT GOING OVER. If your guess is over the retail price, you lose.

PIR usually has bland American cars, but on this show July, 11, 2008, they has a Pepper White S, with lots of options.

Here is a clip of the show. See how this bidder did. He was also including in his guess a jukebox and washer/dryer. But main prize was the MINI.

And lest you think you are going to head over to Los Angeles to get on the show and win yourself a MINI:

It's hard to get on the show [people wait in line all night],

It's then hard to get called up to be a contestant,

They don't give cars out all that often [maybe one or two per show],

It's hard to win the cars, and lastly,

They don't have MINIs [this one was the first I have seen.]

So just go buy one or enjoy the MINI you have.

Fun to have seen it on the show, however.

Poor guy obviously had no idea of what the MINI Cooper S cost with all those options. Expression on his face when Drew announced the price says it all. He must have thought the MINI was an economy budget car.

 

Note to self: MINI Coopers are not the same price as Hyundai Accents.
