Im not a fan of repainting a car.. BUT that Silk Green is perhaps the first color that would make me seriously think about doing it to my Pepper White MCSc... Sheesh that color IS MINI through and through.. I mean, I am seriously head over heels for that color..

im not a silk green owner, but i must say, i love the color. it must be second favorite behind my EB

 

I still haven't had a chance to take any good pics of my Silk Green since I bought it in November and we're having a horrific winter. Spring can't come soon enough.

I want to get the windows tinted. I'd love to get some lacy wheels and if possible, add the chrome line bumpers (can that be done aftermarket?)

Def tint the windows. It makes a huge difference in how the car "feels" when you're inside. More cozy and such...

Wheels are good too. 17's with 40 tyres would look real nice. Maybe a set of clean 5 spoke wheels?

As for the chrome line bumpers, I'd recommend not, but yes, it is possible to add aftermarket. I believe they're just overlays. Have you thought about de-badging the hatch? That'd look nice and symmetrical if you add the chrome bumper strip.

Oh, and if you ever decide you don't like your spoiler, let me know! I want a cooper one for my car...

 

So I've decided to go a different direction with my mods from here on out... Suffice it to say that I'll have the lowest sitting Silk Green I know of when I'm done. I'll post an image once I figure out how to edit a decent one - I haven't started the process yet so it's just gonna be a p-shop or summat...

For what it's worth, HWS's 02 with 371,000 miles is a Silk Green. His certainly has not been haunted with problems.

 

Damn! I hope my MINI makes it to 300k. I'll have swapped the engine by then though...

I figured I would post up since there doesn't seem to be many silk greens out there. I got my 02' back in November 2010 and have loved every minute with her. I named her Jude. The other contender was Clyde... that still seems to stick every once and awhile

Not too many exterior mods, but a very custom interior for this year as I understand.

BTW when you had the front/rear chrome bumpers painted, did you do it yourself or did you take it to a professional?
