R50/53 Air Con Service Question...
Air Con Service Question...
I noticed that the AC has begun to struggle in our 110 degree days, but only when stuck in traffic and stop lights. This has been a symptom of low freon in the past.
I decided to check the sight glass for bubbles. When I opened the hood, I can see the AC connections, but I can't find the dryer, etc. Does anyone know where the AC sight glass is located?
Thanks

Most parts stores carry R134a recharge cans that come with a guage attached. A small (8 to 13 oz) can will probably bring it back up to snuff, and the gauge assembly is reusable. So you can use it to check your other cars. Which, after reading the list and checking your gallery, made my eyes water and my teeth hurt. Nice rides.
When you're stopped and idling, the AC compressor isn't spinning that fast so it's not going to work as well, if the air gets cold when you're cruising around then I'd say there's no problem with your AC. Use your recirc button so the AC doesn't have to work so hard.
