ok here is another

question. If the mini I am looking at has the phone button on the steering wheel does that mean that it has the bluetooth option, logically I would think yes. I am sure that I could be wrong here, and when I look at them at the dealer they dont ever know what the car really has because its a used mini, and the only thing they really know is how much commission they are going to make. Other than that they are worthless

The MINI you are looking at has a multi-function steering wheel (MSFW for short).

It does NOT mean that the MINI has the Bluetooth option; however, it DOES mean that if you choose to add the OEM version or an aftermarket version, you don't have to upgrade the steering wheel.

I have the MSFW on my MINI...the phone buttons didn't work until after I installed the ParrotEVO system.

There IS good news though...since you have the MSFW, you'll be able to change radio stations and control the volume via the steering wheel.

If you jot down the VIN, you can call a MINI dealership (ask for the parts dept) and if you give them the VIN, they can print out a spec sheet for you and fax it to you.

Good luck!

ok so if it has the phone button I can add an aftermarket system? Then next question, how does the aftermarket system look, is it stealh like the stock mini system? Also how much do you think it is going to run me.

I did notice that some of the msfw's dont have the phone button, is there a reason for that?

Pricing for aftermarket systems vary...I think I paid approx. $250 or so for mine.

The ParrotEVO is definitely stealthy...it connects to the wiring harness at the back of the stereo unit.
