R50/53 waiting to get to the distribution center
Well, my BRG MC was unloaded from the Aida at the end of August and is now sitting on the dock in New Jersey and still has not been picked up to be sent to the distribution center. I know others have had long waits before their MINI was processed. How long have most of you waited to get to the distribution center? Does anyone know if the backlog problem has improved?
thanks.

Hey, my MINI was on the AIDA and was at the distribution center 8/31 she is now awaiting a truck to bring her home. Check it out on 866 ASK MINI. I call there every morning and every evening. I am sure they are sick of me by now!
I also wanted to mention that when I spoke to the guy at MINI he said that it is not as backed up and has begun to flow pretty smoothly. My car is done at VDC and should be trucking home this week! Good luck to you!
Well, here's a new twist... My car (arrived on the Falstaff 8/21) has finally made it to the dealer as of this past Friday. My dealer is only about an hour drive from the port of entry, but getting from the actual dock to the VDC took well over a week. Caught in the 6500 (+/- 6000
logjam).
Anyway, it turns out that my car arrived at the dealer AHEAD of its title from BMW NA! So, it now sits in a logjam of cars at the dealer and can't be delivered to me until probably Tuesday when the title arrives at the dealer. I understand that my car is not the only one in this predicament. The dealer says (and I have to say I believe them as they've been quite honest, if just a bit confused) that this is a common problem and is exacerbated by BMW/MINI trying to deliver so many cars so fast.
So, getting to this side of the pond was only part of the battle. I've had a longer time getting the car from NJ to Long Island than in getting it from England to NJ!
