The current "BRG" is not really BRG is just a regular Dark Green Metallic color. Real BRG is non-metallic and has a very different shade. Not a bad looking color but not exciting to my eye. I think Indy Blue looks better. I personally detest paying $400 extra for metallic colors. My 2 MINIs have solid colors ($0 cost).

I've got the BRG with white top and bonnet stripes (I wanted a 'retro' rally look). At first I was unhappy with the fact that its a metallic finish. I thought it tended to show dirt easily and wondered if I should have gone with the chili red.

But, he longer I've had it, the happier I've become with the color! After you've seen the car in different types of light, you realize that the color is BRG, but the metalic highlightes add depth and luster to the finish.

Also, after a 2500+ mi rode trip with no car washes along the way I've found that the finish does show a little dirt quickly if you're close to the car, but from a very short distance, you can't notice it. This is still true if you're unable to wash the car and it gets quite dirty.

Near the end of my trip, my car was filthy up close, but still getting admiring looks and nods from other cars and folks on the sidewalk.

If you're mechanical adept or know someone who is.... install them yourself and save the $$$. Classic MINI will sell them to you at a very reasonable rate and a heck of a lot cheaper than the dealer!

Before seeing the BRG color, I planned to get it for historical reasons, something that tied the MINI to its past. But the MINI's paint is not a true BRG, it is metallic and too dark. Only in very bright sunlight does the color really look good.

My girlfriend and I settled on the Indi Blue. It's a very beautiful color, in sunlight and under lights. It's what I get comments about the most. If I had a quarter for everytime someone said "Love the color", I could buy a JCW kit. I do agree you should get the white roof (and wheels too).
