Pointless, I'm afraid.
Does the ad say, ""Borrow Our Brand?"
Nope.
Does it say, "Buy a MINI and use our brand forever?"
Nope.
Does the ad say."MINI is friendly, please borrow our identity?"
Nope.
The ad simply says, "Small can be tough."
What the ad doesn't say is small sucks when you're going up against BIG lawyers.

Right, but...

I think Xanthus has a point. BMW shouldn't sweat the small stuff, or eventually that will turn around and bit them in the a$$. I think the ad is ironis in that sense. Even though we are a small group compared to corperate america, we could ruin BMW's image if we persued it enough. People don't like heavy handed companies like this. It ruins image. That's why Disney, for example, did so well. Walt did anything for a good image. MINI/BMW should just watch it, b/c we are also the people that put the MINI brand up on the charts. We can bring it down too (like my car--don't get me wrong, just not the MINI brand right now).

Stovepipe, it's there for the humerous irony of their advertising.

And it is on a site that perhapse you have heard of: Minicooperonline.com video section.
