Whats up everyone. I was wondering the waiting times for everyone to get there mini. I ordered mine on 8/4 got my production # 2 weeks later and checked it out and my production date was 10/4 then checked it the next day. It went to 10/11 and now its at 10/18. So much for my dealer telling me 8 weeks. Anybody else have this problem?

Sounds like maybe they gave you a "best case" scenario on timeline, rather than worst case, which would have made them look better if it came in early. Went and test drove a MCS yesterday, and when I asked about delivery, was told by our excellant motoring advisor, that they were currently quoting 12 weeks, but have had some come in sooner.

Seems to be very different at each dealer - depending on their allocation and how many they've sold. I ordered on 7/3 and don't even expect a production number until October with delivery in January.

Hi Archy,

I'm from Westport, IN. It's about 20 miles due east of Columbus. I was at Dreyer and Reinbold yesterday. Jim told me that if I ordered a MCS then, it would be about April before I got it. I told him I wanted to order one anyway and I'm mailing him a deposit check Tuesday. He had 3 S's on the lot, but they all had options I could do without for the price and none was the color I want. Sure hope Jim's wrong about the long wait. Maybe I'll see you motoring.
Have fun!

Brad

It totally depends on where you are located.
Here in California we got our mini right away because we found the one that we wanted and we didn't want to order a special.
The waiting period here says that we must wait for 2 months (8 weeks). So it depends on your options!

I put down a deposit and ordered 7/9. got a production date of 8/9 then got bumped to 8/16. That part was pretty accurate. My MINI hopped on the AIDA on 8/21 and landed in NJ on 8/30. Now I wait some more. My dealership said I probably will be driving my MINI by the second week of September. GOD I HOPE SO!!!!! The closer it gets, the worse the waiting is.
