Despite $6,217 in Warranty Repairs and only 25k on the clock...
....why do I still love my 2005 MCS?
My friends think Im crazy for keeping it. But I tell them that despite the whopping $$ in warranty repairs (which my SA called "pretty high" for an 2005), the car has never broken down or left me stranded.
If anything, getting an extended warranty is looking more feasible, and less of a risky gamble, all the time.
(I should mention that bulk of these repairs was the clutch & DM flywheel, steering rack, window regulators, and the 4 days it took to fix the worst dash rattle EVER.)
Still, everytime I take it in, something else is either going or near gone. I guess the upside is that the replacement parts seem to be of higher quality than the OEM crapola installed at Oxford.

Some people assume that the insurance company is out to get them and this is just one way.
