my 02 MCS came with aftermarket wheels wrapped in snow tires and the stockwheels for the summer. when i took off the aftermarket there were red rings on the hub, do i need these to re mount my stockwheels? thanks

Centering rings are used to make a universal Wheel hub centric to the car. Different aftermarket wheels have different bores, so you select the Ring to match your combination. You shouldn't need them with the stock wheels..

Interesting question as most of us run after market wheels with summer tires and change back to stock in the winter. Your stock rims should not required rings.

By the way, there are plastic centering rings that come with some wheels, and there are metal ones. Obviously, the metal ones would be recommended. It is worth upgrading to metal rings.
