Short Shift Kit??

So i was driving my friends A4 2.0 quatro, and fell in love with the ease in shifting from one gear to another. If i were to buy a short shift kit, I know it would reduce the distance needed to change gears, but would it take less effort and muscle to shift from one gear to another??

No, as you have less leverage, but I love my short-shifter

Quite the opposite -- the compromise for shorter throws is less leverage (more force needed to shift). That having been said though, the throws feel more precise -- an SSK is definitely worth it.
