R50/53 The MINI gods are taunting me!

For two weeks before I ordered my MINI, I scanned the highways to get a glimpse of my future car. During that time I may have spied two at most.
Ever since I placed my order, I've seen at least one a day. The most I've seen in a day was four. Of course, on that day, I pulled into a Best Buy right next to an Indi Blue Cooper with a White Roof. The exact same color I ordered. I didn't get to meet the owner though.
Has anyone else noticed that the number of MINI sightings increased after they ordered their car? I think voodoo may be involved.
Then again, it could also be because the new local dealer just opened and everybody is getting their cars. But that's a less fun explanation.

actually, MINIUSA sends out a weekly e-mail to existing owners and tells us the location of future owners in our area who have ordered similar specs. We're instructed to drive in the area of your home and your work and to show you your new MINI live and in person to ease your wait.

I saw one on the Pennsylvania Turnpike yesterday. But with the barriers, all I caught was a glimpse of the white roof as it passed in the opposite direction.
