Well yesterday I encountered my first Mini problem...I got locked in! A simple trip to the post office, and the driver's side door will not open. without thinking I could just open the window and use the outside door release, I sat there and fooled with the thing for around 10 minutes. I finally exited out the passenger door and completed the postal run. When I got home I made an appointment with Mini of Nashville and off I went. The trip took me around three hours, with a diagnosis of a "cable coming off". The nice thing about Mini of Nashville is that they wash your car for you before you drive away. Compared to some of the misfortunes I've read about here, it's minor, but still, the thing isn't even a year old yet.

Oh no. I've heard that this happened to some BMW X5 owners. I was hoping we were in the clear with Minis.
