Drivers Side Window Motor

I have replaced window motors on other cars but never on a mini.....Is this very difficult....If so do you have any pointers to do this?

Also the window seems to want to move and it moves a bit but will not go down.....has anyone ever run into this issue.. I have a 2003 and use the window a lot but i don't think enough to have the motor go back already.

thanks

If you give the door a good thump or two right above the speaker I think you'll find that the motor will come back to life and the window will bein to function again normally. But if you search for this problem I think you'll find that others have encountered this and MINI USA was replacing this under warranty (but I'm guessing that your 03, like mine is long out of warranty and soon you'll be replacing it)

I've been given my door a good thump every few weeks when it begins to act up and it corrects the issue but one day It won't and with my luck it will be pitching it down w/rain.
