New member say "Hi".

My name is Joe hence the member name here "joe_r".I have been a long time fan of the Mini growing up & watching MR Been, lol. Its just that I think its time to make the move & buy one!

I started off with having 4 Dodge neons 2 of them being SRT-4's with full stage2 & toys. Then Finding Subaru's with having 1 WRX with lots of mods & now I have a Forester XT with the 2.5 STi motor in it with lots of mods. But I find myself lacking that feeling I had as a kid with one of my many go karts I built & wanting that feeling back!!!

I went & test drove a 02 MCS.It was alot of fun but lacked one creature feature. No cruise control!!!So I am now on the hunt to find one fully loaded but no factory Nav.

Welp thats my story & I hope I am welcomed to this forum as I have been with,

www.srtforums.com & www.subaruforester.org .

Thanks for your time.

Welcome to the NAM Forum joe_r. I think you will find the MINI a fun vehicle to own and drive, good to see you coming over from the "dark side" (all of the Neons here where I am want to race MINIs, not just me experiencing this...were you one of the ones I smoked?).

All fun aside, definitely get the cruise control and a manual tranny!

I find it hard to believe they even sell MINI's with no cruise control, it should be standard. While a few people say they don't want it, if they had it and didn't want to use it, no problem. Around here no cruise is a killer on resale value and ease of selling.

I don't know where you are, that plays into what constitutes a deal. To me $17,500 for an 04 with 44k miles on it seams a bit high, is this a MCS...does it have the JCW package? More details helps.

I would definitely do a CARFAX search on it as well.

I have seen 05 MCS R53s with under 25K miles going for $13,500 to $15,000.
