My drivers side xenon bulb went out, its broken, where can I get a replacement, reasonably. Thanks.

I just found this site, I think this is what I am looking for, but want to be sure, local dealer told me $215 today, plus would have to order it.

 

I have just the bulbs in stock. But it usually is the ignitor unit. Or did hit something and break the lens too? I can get the whole unit if need be.

 

Its just the bulb, lens is in one piece. How much is an ignitor unit?

Just to check... the bulb itself is broken? Have you swapped sides to verify? Generally it's the ballast that goes out and the bulb is fine. You can test the bulb by putting it in the other headlight and see if it fires.

You can drill down to your year make and model and then find the specific BMW part number. Good one to bookmark.

 

I know the bulb is gone, how long are they made to last? I pulled the bulb out, the glass between the two metal pieces, well it split in two parts now. Afraid to pull the other bulb out to swap them, dont want to have two busted bulbs. Went to NAPA at the advice of a fellow MINI driver that works at PEP Boys. Should be in by Thursday next week.
