R50/53 Smoothing out the throttle response?
Smoothing out the throttle response?
I was wondering about ways to smooth out the throttle response. After having a track day and driving the R56's all day I noticed that my 2003 seems to not have as smooth as throttle response. Its really not that big of a deal and more noticeable in lower gears but here is what I experience.
If you are WOT and then immediately let up on the throttle to get ready for hard breaking its not the smoothest transition. Its like the throttle could be let off smoother and not jerk the car around so much. Possibly its just poor driving technique but the newer model did not experience this.
Is this just an ECU deal or more mechanical?

Unsatisfactory throttle response.
Consider this approach.http://www.detroittuned.com/products...20050219173947
The LOTF engine stabilizer and a CAI seemed to help mine quite a bit, but the turbo R56 engine is going to have a much different characteristic being turbo vs. supercharged. Interestingly, I thought the turbo R56 felt stronger and smoother down low, which is a traditional forte of supercharging.
