very nice... I thought my 8 bikes was getting a little out of control... granted a 9oosq ft apartment in the city with 15 bikes sure feels like a lot ( 8 are mine, the rest are the GF's). You have one nice collection there. All of my bikes are pure function. One of the local shops here has Pantani's WIllier tt funny bike... we might be riding super 6's in 2008 but its looking like the 6/13. Last year we were on caad 9's... I loved my caad 9, great race bike.

Thank you. My wife says she will divorce me if I get another bike. I would really like to "thin the herd" but I have a hard time parting with any of them. I have a good friend that rides for another team and they are riding 6/13's they are a great bike you will like it. Good luck in your upcoming season. Time for a nap, just got back from 60 miles and 4500 ft of climbing.

I knew someone with 25 +/- depending on the time of year. It was sick. Some collectible and some current and a variety in between.

It can be easy to have quite a few though. Road, road beater, TT, track, single speed mtn, FS mtn, HT mtn, DH mtn, cyclocross. 9 bikes if you wanted to cover all sides of the sport!

I would probably have more if space wasn't such an issue as is 2 cross bikes, 1 road, 1 TT, 1 SS 29'r, 1 26"mtn, 1 track, 1 commuter, a few frames hanging around... a tons of wheels and bins full of parts... Always say I putting stuff on ebay... never do. I just bought a mini and it is goign to be a adjustment when traveling to races... I would sometimes bring a lot of crap. I just ordered a thule aero yesterday... I hope it looks ok...

It will look fine as long as you have a lot of stickers on it.

The thing that worries me about a rear mount is that the tail light might get obscured by the bikes and/or people will follow even closer to look at the bikes, misjudge and rear end me wrecking both my bumper and my bike! Irrational perhaps but my Wilier fits me so well I'd hate to loose it.

Mini D- that's a Robin Williams level collection- sweet! How'd you get the LA bikes? Charity auctions?? I loved those Merckx frames he made for Motorola-he made the Caloi's as well right? And the DeRosa's -que bella!

I am planning on fitting the yakima rack to my 07 MC, but i think i'm going to put squares of white or clear adhesive vinyl to the roof where the pads touch first. Has anyone had problems with the "rain gutters" deforming where the clamps attach? they seem kind of soft. I only plan to use the rack when i need to carry something (bikes, skis, or plywood).

The stable contains:
Burley Duet Tandem-tricked out for touring
Tommasini Prestige Road-all campy/mavic (my pristine $150 garage sale bargain, and it fit like it was made for me!)
Bianchi Pista track bike
Diamondback CF mountain
Gary Fisher city bike (wife's)
1897 Featherstone Runabout Tandem
1885 Victor ordinary
1918 Columbia safety (wife's)

I think thats it!

Thanks! The LA bikes came from two different sources. The local bike shop manager knew the Motorola Team equipment manager and he sold off the bikes for them at season's end. I picked up the Caloi that way (which coincedentally is made by Litespeed, badged Caloi by Eddy Merckx). The 1993 bike I found on ebay and believe it or not picked it up cheap, really cheap. I wasn't sure it was an actual LA bike but a friend of mine brought in an old Road Bike Action magazine and there was an article in their showing the build sheet with measuerments done by Merckx for Armstrong on the sheet it showed the serial numbers and one of the two bikes being built was the one in my office! Honestly the DeRosa is one of my fav's, it is a beautiful bike. I will try to post pics of some of them if the mods don't mind.

Please do post some pics! It might get us moved to another sub-section (unless we keep mentioning MINI's) so....maybe post of pic of the DeRosa's on the MINI--yeah that will do it.

My others are not nearly as nice but I've stil got my original race bike-an 84 Trek 460 and an old lugged. columbus tubed (late 80's) Viner (another odd Italian brand). Other than those I've got a ridged, steel frame Trek Mt bike (890 I think) I'm thinking about adding a new Mt Bike as there are some good trails here but I was a roadie for so long I really know little about Mt bikes- full suspention vs hard tail, etc??)
