I am officially in winter mode ...and happy to report the the car doesn't look as bad as I thought it would. I like my ASAs a lot better, but these aren't too bad.

I am amazed at how differently the 15" wheels ride than 17" and I finally proved to myself just how crappy the Goodyear runflats are ...the Bridgestone Blizzak Revos seem to handle almost as well !!!!!

dean.

Was gonna put my MINI in storage yesterday and put the Winters on Stacey's, but I heard it will be almost 60 Monday, so I didn't go. I should have watched the news yesterday. I didn't even know it was gonna snow today.

270 near us had a 20+ mile backup Great Seneca, the main road to get to 270 had a 7 mile backup. I wonder how much bread, TP, and milk is left in the markets.

this is this afternoon, the first time I shoveled. I went back out an hour ago and cleared another 3 inches. About 6 total here I think. Note the stock R56 like rideheight. I jacked up the Cross coilovers for winter....no more scraping out of the driveway either.

no, sold the R90's. nobody wanted the R91's, so I mounted them with tires. RE01R's don't work well in winter, so I had to pull the other set off

I have a set of 91s as well that nobody wanted. They are just sitting in storage waiting for the right person to buy them.

because our local governments spray magchloride deicer on our roads (ya know, the stuff that can fuse metal suspension and brake parts together if not cleaned off) I rarely drive my MCS in the winter unless the roads are dry and relatively clear of gravel and crap. That's why I have my old beater truck. That and my MCS fears the idiots who think a 4wd can stop faster on ice:impatient

I swapped out my 18' JCWs with summer run flats for hollies with all seasons. The Mini looks downriight silly, especially considering it is a JCW. It's like putting your dog in a costume. I think it thinks I neutered it! But it is funny trying to put all the power through skinny 175s.

I bought the wheels and tires from an Ex MCS owner north of Detroit. He got them from Tire Rack and they are 16x6.5.

If i can get my hands on another set I would be sooo happy. My mini needs some new summer wheels and tires

you def. dont want to run on the stock runflats if you have a choice, especially if you live in a state like ny. now dont get me wrong you can get away with it but you will wear out those tires much faster than they should be due to tire spin on ice or deep snow... i have this experience personally. My runflats are on their way to the dump and im just over 20k so thats not too good. dunlop m3's are in the mail
