R50/53 MORRC Pictures

A picture-perfect day - cloudless sky, 80 degrees, 1 hour drive to and from, and RACING MINIs at the Mid Ohio Road Racing Classic today (June 28) at Mid Ohio Sports Car Course in Lexington Ohio.
Well, except for the sunburn to which I subjected myself. Yikes!
The Sterling and Nuzzo teams represented MINI today, and unfortunately, the day wasn't great for MINI. Team Sterling was out on lap one when he and another got together and ended up in the tire wall.
The MINIs just can't compete yet with the Lexuses (Lexi?) and BMWs. The Acura RSXs were also very smooth. It was, however, fun watching the Nuzzo team pick off the Integras and Mazdas and others with perfect cornering and clean driving...
Lots of MINIs and a couple of Minis there - but all of their drivers were quite antisocial! Didn't speak to one of them, yet I walked around and spied them all. Hmmm. Were YOU there perhaps?
So here are some pics of the Nuzzo team (and one of the Sterling going up on the tilt-bed - ugh)... and how about a little sympathy for the sunburn I suffered to bring you these pictures??!

MINIclo...
When I got to Nuzzo's paddock spot, I wanted to say HI, but they were busy and there was already another guy there getting in their way. I mean REALLY in their way, standing right next to the car as they were bleeding the brakes and changing other fluids. What a nincompoop!
So I figured they didn't need another poser standing around getting in their way ... : lol :
