Well after long last my MINI is finally here and it got a real English welcome... it's rained all day!!!(mumbling profanities under my breath) It hasen't rained here for a month until today... but on the up side it did give me a legitimate excuse to wash my MINI as soon as I got home!! My neighbours think I'm nuts. It's pouring rain and I'm out there with the soap and sponge washing my car! The brake dust, even on such a wet day, was still formitable, but worth the extra work, the white rims look so good! Oh and the Tartan Red interior,... WOWOWOWOW!!!!!!! I am so pleased with it, looks great.

I got to my dealer about 15 min. early from when I said I would be there(I just couldn't wait any longer) and there was my MINI, in the middle of the showroom, they were just putting my WAINAIR plates on! Boy did she look good under all those lights! While John (my sales guy) was finishing getting everything together I snapped about a MILLION pics of her in the showroom(I'll get them developed tommorrow). It was Johns first delivery and he did a great job, Drew in the finance dept. also was great. Very helpful and informative. My MINI came with the MINI rubber mats which is great! I was going to buy them if they weren't there(shhh don't tell MINI!!) I was out the door in less than an hour, motoring through the rain. Pretty good I thought for Johns first delivery, and he went through everything in the car. Most of it I knew from all the great info I've learned from the board over the past 6 months, but it was good to go over it again.

I love the stereo and the MFSW. I may follow Normalizers lead though and upgrade the speakers. They are fine now but factory speakers degrade quickly and I'd like to keep that good sound. Oh, for those of you who followed the earlier thread, the first song played in the CD player of my MINI was No Doubt, Keep on Dancing. Sounded real nice!

Well I don't want to give you cauliflower ear or eyes as it may be. I'm going out to take some pics of the inside before I add all the interior goodies I've collected over the summer.

I've finally been able to scratch that itch!!

Congrats!! I love hearing about how excited everyone gets when they pick up their MINI. I will definitely be like you and will bring a camera with me when I pick up mine. I have already bought a "baby" album in which I will have pictures of my dealer, my salesperson, my order form and then of course, my MINI once it arrives in the dealer showroom. I know. I need psychological counseling.
