Disabling brake pad sensors?

I've replaced the pads and taped the ends of the sensors and zip-tied them out of the way but the damned light keeps coming on. Are there 2 wires inside the cord that need to be spliced together to make the computer think everything is OK?? Mine is a '03 MCS.... TIA.

The way the brake pad sensor works is that it breaks the connection, thus triggering the light. In order to defeat the sensor, you have to create a connection; simply taping the connector out of the way won't do that. Take the old sensor, cut the wires, splice them together, and then plug it into the harness.
