2005 MC, just noticed a large oil leak which looks like its coming from this part on left side of engine. Can anyone tell me what this part is/does?

If it's on the passenger side rail right up front, then it's your hydraulic engine mount. They are known to leak and your dealer will change it for you if you're still under warranty.

 

Im guessing, but its probably the motor mount. They are known to leak. Top left side of engine - correct?

the only time i ever found any kind of fluid leak is when my engine mount on the pass side blew....might wanna take a look...

 

thank you all, for some reason I could not get photos to load when I posted, then had to rush off to dealer. Motor mount, leaked all over. Dealer replaced it and said they have seen it before. I had no idea the motor mounts actually had fluid like a suspension part, wild. Thanks for everyones input, my MC is fixed and back home!
