I picked up the October 2002 issue of Sport Compact Car today, and as I was flipping through it, low and behold, there's a yellow MINI Cooper pictured on the page with the editor's monthly column! Very surprising, considering the vast majority of coverage in the magazine is focused on Japanese imports and a few American cars. (Yes, they did an article on the "S" a couple months ago, but that's about it other than a few minor comments here and there.)

In part, he says, "After the Z went back to Nissan, a very yellow MINI Cooper became my daily transport.... Nice car. Solid. BMW really did it right."

The majority of the column talks about his impressions of the MINI, and overall, he seems very impressed. Not bad coming from such an unlikely source. I hope we can expect more coverage in coming months regarding modding our MINIs and such. Maybe he's even a member of MINI Cooper Online!

I keep finding it in every "Auto Sukces" issue I get! It was also on the cover of Car and Driver a couple of months ago!
