Here's the situation. I picked up my brand new CVT MINI on Saturday and
the EP light was on. The dealer told me I was OK to drive it but that I should
bring it in the following week when the service guys were there.

So...Monday morning, the EP light went off and everything was working fine.
I'm still bringing it in this Thursday, but I'm wondering if I'm damaging the
car by driving it now (even though all seems well and the car now registers "P" when parked,
"D" when in drive and so on.)

Anyone?

 

no its a bad diode, you need the wiring harness replaced. No big deal.
