I notice the sound of the sunroof opening and closing is louder than I think it should be. It's not grinding, it's not scraping, just seems.... loud. Like it needs grease or something...

Anyone have this problem and a way to fix?

 

mention it to ur dealer, theyll check it out and prob lube it up, if there is a problem they might do what patrick MINI did for my uncle and just replace the thing

 

I've also noticed the same. It seems louder when closing. Anyone have a "how to" lube the rails? I have tried wiping out the rails and relubing with some white grease...but no difference.

um im not rly sure what the dealership uses but they probably have the time to completely take out the roof and do what they have to, to every moving part and then put it all back together

 

Just took my 03 MC to the dealer with the same problem. They lubed it and it's all quiet now.
