I have a request for anyone....I'm new here and new with my mini, but have been told I should have the tires rotated every 6000 miles or something like that. It is a 2006 and would like to know the proper rotation of the tires. Would appreciate any advice.

I rotated my tires the first time at 4500 miles and will again before going to MITM2 at around 7500 miles. I rotate them front to back. No criss crossing. So far so good at 7000 miles.

Alex, who is a knowledgable tire guy, recommended to rotate
every 3000 miles for the first 12000, then every 5000 for the
rest.

Do a search for "tire rotation" -- lots of threads, lots of viewpoints, including mine ("don't bother").
