With my purchase of 8 roof rack bolt covers last week, I now get the BMW/MINI quantity discount on these things because I've bought so many since March 13th (pick up day). To date I've puchased 16, I've used 9.

Maybe if I actually keep the rack on the car, I won't use so many......hmmmmmmm....

Anybody have additional solutions to these things flying off at speed?

No solution, but I have a question for you. How long does it take to remove and/or install the OEM rack? I am planning to have one installed in three weeks and want to know what to expect.

For the base rack - 5 minutes for both removal and installation, very easy. I did it just last night. I have yet to put my bike holder, will do that tonight and let you know.

My OEM Mini rack goes on and off in less than 2 minutes!!!

About the covers - When you put them on, turn them so they slide on front-to-back so the air resistence keeps them in place.

I've had my rack for 6 months, put it on and take it off every Saturday morning and I haven't lost a cap yet!
