R50/53 How do you replace the side orange turn signal light bulbs?
Sorry for the dumb question, but how do you replace a burnt out bulb for the side marker orange lights mounted on the fenders (Not the wheel arches)?
Today I discover that my left side turn signal bulb is out. All others are blinking OK.
Instructions on how to remove the plastic orange cover lense are appreciated.

This is really an easy job. Open the bonnet and you'll have to stick your hand way up the side where the indicator is. You can push the entire unit (light plus grill out) but be careful because it will still be attached with wiring. Once the grill is out, the lens twists off.
to remove just the lense housing, you can just push the side marker to the direction of the door, then pull it away from the car. it should come off that way as well. that's the lazy way of dong it
It's not lazy...It's the easiest.
1) Use your fingers to grip the lens and push/slide it towards the rear of the car and then pull out. You'll see that at the end closest to the front is a fixed tab that holds that end in place. The other end has a bent plastic tab that acts like a spring that applies pressure to the fixed tab; thus keeping the lens in place. The lens, bulb and bulb holder is one-piece and is replaced as one-piece.
2) Unplug the wire from this one-piece. CAREFUL, the wire may fall back into the hole. If that happens you'll need to fish it out. You can do so by opening the bonnet/hood and then squeezing your hand through towards where the end of the wire dropped.
3) Plug in the new one-piece and mount it by setting the spring tab in place first, then the fixed tab end. (less than a minute job)
