Is there a way to change a regular rear wiev mirror into auto dimming one ? It just should take to run some wires to it ,right?

I'm unsure about where the harness would tap in, perhaps into the sunroof if you have one. You can check out this post on how NOT to remove an auto-dimming mirror!

yes, that is not nice picture...

But I can see the mirror on the wire. Anybody - is the sensor in it??
would it dim during the day, too - if somebody with high beams would be behind? or in strong sun from behind the car?
anybody has it??
Thanks

My understanding is that the sensor in the mirror reacts to the headlights behind you and the sensor on the back of the mirror facing through the windshield senses if it's day or night. I could be wrong though...

My auto dimming mirror seems to have a mind of it's own. It doesn't bother me, but it has taken a while to get used to
