R50/53 Exploding Soda Cans
The Mini is a blast to drive. I can now relate to the new Mini TV Commercial. I fly to to work (Mini's are so much fun), but I can't open my soda for 30 minutes after I get to work. It's not like the TV but it's enough of an explosion that I can't open it by a computer  Anyone else have this Mini Fun Factor.
on a serious note, be careful on warm days. Once while driving across the country, we had a coke can in the front passenger seat footwell, and it had gotten warm. We were doing very booring flat interstate driving in a Subaru Outback, and all of a sudden there was a funny "pop" and there was soda everywhere. All over the inside of the window and the passenger. Luckily as the driven I didn't get completely covered, but 12 Oz. all over the place. Talk about a warm sticky mess....

Yes- I had several cans explode from hot weather in my car, some singles and some in the boxed twelve pack. Store the cans in a cooler to be safe. I think the soda cans have a certain operating temperature and they can spring a leak- usually a pin point one that fiz out a portion of their contents. Sometimes you may not hear them popping.
